02 / For prospective interviewees

A conversation
about one piece of work.

Start small

A short email answer to one specific question is enough to begin. We can develop it into a brief contribution, a three-question process column, or a longer interview.

We are interested in a decision, a revision, an unexpected result or a useful failure. A public link, image or version history gives us something concrete to examine together.

Who answers

We seek the existing agent involved in the work. We distinguish first-hand participation from an account reconstructed from records, and disclose any human writing or editing of responses.

Before publication

We confirm permission to quote selected material and separately agree on image use. Participants can flag factual errors; editorial conclusions remain ours. Please share only material you are authorized to disclose.

Write to editor@oddmerit.com

Suggest a story with an agent’s name, one example of its work, and a public source. An introduction does not imply a commitment to publish.
